Ethan Crumbley, a student at Oxford High School, has been recognised as a suspect. The perpetrator is accused of killing four students and injuring six others, according to the authorities. One of the teachers had minor injuries. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021.

Crumbley's name was published in the local media about the project that he covered for the purpose of his assessment when he was in fifth grade at Lakeville Elementary School in 2017. The reporters covered an exhibit in which students portrayed a real-life scenario in which Crumbley was a member of the group. The project was created with poverty and hunger in mind. Crumbley admitted at the time that he had feelings for the homeless and hungry. As a result, he felt compelled to act in response to the situation. However, that fifth-grader has now become the coveted someone who is on the verge of becoming a serial killer.

Ethan Crumbley Parents and Family

Crumbley's parents, on the other hand, stated that they did not wish to speak with their son. A parental consent form will be necessary for the juvenile, and the juvenile will not be permitted to talk to the police without the presence of an attorney. The lawyer stated that the investigation is still ongoing. It was agreed that the inquiry would begin at the suspect's home as soon as the shooting occurred. The wounded instructor was one of the eight victims. She has since been released from the hospital with a grazing bullet wound.

Crumbley was 15 years old, according to Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald, who spoke during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. Four counts of first-degree murder, one case of terrorism resulting in death, and seven counts of assault with the purpose to murder have been filed against him. He's also accused of possessing a handgun in the commission of a felony 12 times. Other charges could be filed in his name, according to the prosecutor. On the 1st of December 20221, he will be arraigned and will wear the anti-suicide smock. James Crumbley, the suspect's father, purchased the gun or weapon used in the incident. The suspect’s mother’s name is Jennifer Crumbley.

Case and Investigation

The victims who were deceased on the day of the shooting were identified as 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin, 16-year-old Tate Myre, 14-year-old Hana St. Juliana, and the fourth victim identified as 17-year-old Justin Shilling. The fourth victim died at the moment of the incident after the shooting. Karen McDonald said in the press conference, “how many times will this happen?”. We need to do better. She said that the public has become less sensitive against school shootings. She said, “What about those parents who said goodbye to their children on Tuesday morning thinking that their children would be safe in the school?”.

They were all innocent, and she intended to seek justice for the victims. She stated that she will discuss the ongoing debate over gun control. Crumbley's acts were publicised on social media. He made threats and made preparations for a shootout. For the assault, Crumbley was denied bail. Judge Nancy T. Carniak consented to transfer the suspect to the county jail from Oakland County's children's village (where juvenile detentions are handled). The suspect would be separated from the adults in the jail, according to the judge.

Ethan Crumbley Charges

The defendant, who was wearing a mask and sat silently during the arraignment, told the judge that he understood the allegations and the rights that had been imposed on him. According to Assistant Prosecutor Attorney Keast, he (the suspect) could be seen entering the bathroom with a backpack and leaving with the gun in his hand on security tape. He pointed his rifle at the pupils in the classroom and didn't get the chance to flee.

The prosecutor Keast said that he honestly did not have any word to say about what happened inside the school. On the other hand, the sheriff’s lieutenant Tim Wills told the judge that he made threats a day before on social media that could be collected as evidence. Keast told the judge that Crumbley’s actions, social media posts, and his decision to bring the gun inside the school indicated that it was all premeditated. Keast alleged that Crumbley brought the gun inside the building of the school with the intent to murder as many students as he could.
