Google Meet is comes out with some latest features for video-conferencing meeting platform . These new features are aimed toward improving the standard of calls made using this platform.
The first feature that the corporate has introduced on its platform is named Gentle notifications. This feature will notify users if it detects that the decision quality is degrading.
Google during a blog post said that “when Meet detects a performance issue that's impacting call quality, you’ll see a notification bubble describing the difficulty and a red dot on the “More options” menu.” On selecting the “Troubleshooting & help” option, they're going to get more information regarding the difficulty and ways to resolve it.
The second feature that the corporate is rolling out is named tailored troubleshooting recommendations. This feature will give users personalised recommendations to enhance the standard of their calls supported the detected performance issues. Google says that this feature ‘can be useful in situations where decreases in available processing resources are impacting call quality.’
Lastly, the corporate is introducing a feature called Quick Actions on Meet. This feature will get ‘one-click changes’ which will reduce Meet’s resource consumption.Google has started rolling out these features to all or any Google Workspace customers. it'll be available to all or any users globally within subsequent 15 days.
If you're during a one-to-one meeting then your self-view automatically shows as a floating picture next to the opposite participant. “If somebody else joins or a presentation is added, your self-view is automatically added to the grid. In both cases, you'll switch between the floating picture and therefore the grid. Your choice is saved for future meetings,” explained Google in its official blog post.
There’s a picture-in-picture mode during which you'll drag the corners of your self-view to vary its size or drag your self-view to any of the four corners of your meeting window.“In some cases, your self-view could appear with grey bars at the highest and bottom to point out you everything that your camera sees. Other participants might see a cropped version of your video feed,” Google added.
