History of Army Day : Army Day is widely celebrating on 15 January per annum in India, in recognition of marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa's taking up because the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, on 15 January 1949.It essentially marks the start of the Indian Army as we all know it today. Aside from today , it's also meant as each day to honour those soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for India.
Military parades are organized at various Army command headquarters. That parades showcase various aerial stunts, bike pyramids, and so on. The ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ at India Gate is where the country as an entire pays tribute to the military . Cariappa tract in Delhi is that the main venue for the parade.
