Career as a teacher : In 2008, Reid was an assistant offensive football coach at St. Joseph’s prep school in Philadelphia. In 2009, he was a training camp coordinator intern for the Philadelphia Eagles, under his father, Andy Reid. before his graduation, Reid served as a student assistant for the Temple football program for 2 seasons assisting the offense.

Reid also spent two years (2011–12) working the Steve Addazio football camp. Following his graduation, he joined his father on the Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff in 2013 because the Defensive internal control Coach. This was followed by Assistant defensive position Coach in 2015, the defensive position Coach from 2016 to 2018, and therefore the Linebackers/Outside Linebackers Coach, which he held until 2020.

Former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid has been charged with driving while intoxicated for his involvement during a Feb. 4 crash that left a 5-year-old girl hospitalized with brain injuries. Jackson County (Mo.) prosecutors announced the felony charges on Monday.

If convicted, Reid could face a jail sentence of 1-7 years.Investigators found that Reid was driving nearly 84 miles per hour just before the crash. And two hours later, consistent with evidence statement released Monday, Reid’s blood alcohol concentration was .113, above the legal limit of .08.

The Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said during a news release that Reid, the son of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, would surrender together with his attorney on Monday. Prosecutors have requested a $100,000 bond, which Reid be placed on GPS and alcohol monitoring. The crash occurred on Thursday of Super Bowl week, after 9 p.m., shortly from the Chiefs’ facility. Reid, then the team’s outside linebackers coach, was driving a white 2020 Dodge Ram when it struck two stationary cars on the side of an interstate.
