Arnett relived his true freshman season after a bone chip was discovered in his tibia during training camp. He played in 13 games for Ohio State the following season as a leading reserve on the defensive back and recorded 21 tackles with one interception. As a redshirt sophomore, Arnett started 12 of the Buckeyes’ 14 games and led the team’s cornerback with 44 tackles that broke two interceptions and eight passes and was named an honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference.
Arnett was again named to honorable mentions as a junior, 40 tackles and an interception. In 13 games played. Arnett originally planned to forgo his final season of NCAA eligibility to drop out of school and enter the 2019 NFL Draft, but ultimately decided to return to Ohio State for his final year of eligibility.
