In 2010, Svitolina won the French Open girls event, defeating Tunisian Ons Jabeur in the final. In May 2010, she reached the final of her first professional singles tournament, a $25k tournament in Kharkiv. At the 2012 Wimbledon Championships, Svitolina reached the final of the girls’ singles tournament, losing to Eugenie Bouchard.
