Today is the 19th day of the peasant movement. The heads of all the protesting farmers' unions will go on hunger strike today and hold dharna at all district headquarters across the country.This is the second nationwide protest in but every week after highways were blocked last Tuesday as a neighborhood of countrywide shutdown call backed by opposition parties and trade unions. Despite several round of talks with the govt , farmers have said the protests will continue till the new farm laws are scrapped.

Today, Aam Aadmi Party workers will fast across the country in support of the call for collective fast of farmers. Fasting will be done without flag and cap. There will be a fast at the ITO party office from 10 am to 5 pm today.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will undertake one-day fast today. Kejriwal has appealed to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and people of the country to join it. Kejriwal asked the BJP-led central government to abandon arrogance and repeal the three agricultural laws as per the demand of agitating farmers.
