Casillas, nicknamed “San Iker” for his ability to make spectacular saves, is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time.He is well-known for his athleticism, quick reactions, and exceptional shot-blocking ability. Casillas, who spent the majority of his career at Real Madrid, is one of the few players to have played in over 1000 professional matches. He also holds the record for the most clean sheets in the UEFA Champions League and for the Spain national team.
Casillas began his club career with Real Madrid’s youth team before being promoted to the first team in 1999, when he became the club’s youngest goalkeeper to play in the Champions League final and win the title, at the age of 19 years and four days. Casillas quickly established himself as Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper, winning two Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles in his first three seasons and establishing himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
Casillas won all major club titles during his highly successful career in Madrid, including five La Liga titles, four Supercopa de Espaa titles, two Copa del Rey titles, three UEFA Champions Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups, two Intercontinental Cups, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
