On June 24, 2018, Isaako made his international debut for New Zealand against England in a historic test match held in Denver, Colorado, where he started on the wing and kicked three goals in a 36-18 loss. Because Isaako was in such good form for the Broncos, he started at fullback between Rounds 19-21, while incumbent fullback Darius Boyd was moved to centre, where he had some success before returning to the wing for the rest of the season.
After turning down a lucrative offer from the Sydney Roosters, Isaako extended his contract with the Broncos through the conclusion of the 2024 season on July 19, 2018.Isaako ended his thrilling 2018 NRL season by appearing in all 25 of the Broncos’ games, scoring 11 tries and kicking 97 goals, and finishing with 239 points as the club’s leading scorer.
