James Edward Costa, known by his stage name Jamie Costa is an American actor, director, producer, writer, voice actor, filmmaker, comedian, and impressionist who is best known for the likeness of Robin Williams and impressions of many characters.

Professional Career
After graduating NGU, Costa moved to Los Angeles to further pursue a career in entertainment. In 2014, he became widely known for capturing the likeness and spirit of Robin Williams, who had died earlier that year, after uploading a video tribute titled “Never Had A Friend Like Him.”The video featured impressions of Williams’ many memorable characters.
In 2015, he was signed with William Morris Endeavor following a performance at an SNL showcase. Since then, Costa has appeared in a variety of work, including voice over and acting in industrial, independent, and feature films.
In 2021, Costa uploaded a screen test for a possible biopic about Williams of a scene in which Williams, on the set of Mork & Mindy, finds out about the death of John Belushi from his co-star Pam Dawber . The scene was praised online, with many calling for Costa to star in a Williams biopic.
Taking to his YouTube channel on Oct. 11, 2021, Jamie shared a five-minute video titled “ROBIN Test Footage Scene,” where he took on the role of the late comedian and actor.The video features Jamie as Robin and Sarah Murphree as Pam Dawber, both conversing on the set of Mork & Mindy. In it, Pam tells Robin that his friend, actor John Belushi, was found dead that morning.That spurs an emotional reaction in Jamie, who is initially in denial, saying, “No, I told you, I was with him. John’s not dead, I was with him last night.”
The video has since received well over one million views and is trending on YouTube. In the comments, thousands of fans shared their opinions on Jamie playing Robin, stating that he is perfect for the role when a biopic on the late actor’s life is made.
