While a student at Liberty, Marczewski posted her first songs and gave her first public performance in 2011. In 2012, she published Lines, a three-song EP on which she sung and played acoustic guitar. Ocean & Sky, a six-song EP she funded on Kickstarter, was published in 2013.

Marczewski remained a renowned singer in Lynchburg, Virginia, after graduating.She returned to Ohio in 2014, married, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2015, where she resumed performing under her married name, Jane Claudio, with her husband as her producer.

She made an uplifting speech during her post-performance interview with the judges, saying, “You can’t wait till life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.” Simon Cowell later awarded her a Golden Buzzer for her performance of her original song “It’s OK.” The song reached No. 1 on iTunes and No. 2 on YouTube’s trending list.

Marczewski resigned from the competition in August 2021, before she could compete in the show’s quarterfinal round, due to deteriorating health.”You don’t need the stress right now,” Cowell advised her not to return to the competition.
