On the 3rd of January 2011, CNN officials revealed that Roberts would be joining Fox News as a national correspondent, while departing CNN as a national correspondent. He covered a variety of breaking news stories, including Robert Durst’s murder trial, Hurricane Irene’s aftermath in 2011, and diverse American politics. In January 2017, Roberts put in a lot of effort and became Fox News’ chief White House correspondent.
He began covering US President Donald Trump’s news activities. When he criticised Trump’s presidency in 2020, John garnered a lot of attention. Following the first presidential debate of the 2020 election, Roberts engaged into a heated discussion or information exchange with White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on the president’s unwillingness to openly reject white supremacy.
