In April 2008, MTV Networks Europe started a campaign called “Pick Me MTV,” in which Whitmore competed against other contestants to become the face of MTV News in MTV Europe. From 2008 to 2015, she gave news updates on MTV channels in Ireland, the UK, and all over Europe. She was often seen hosting special events in Ireland and other parts of Europe on MTV News.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW! was hosted by Whitmore on ITV2 for five series starting in 2011. It came right after I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!On April 14, 2016, Whitmore said that she was leaving the show.After carrying the torch for the 2012 Summer Olympics, she went on the RTÉ talk show Saturday Night with Miriam in the summer of 2012.
