Pons’ career began on the video platform Vine. She stated that she used Vine to highlight the creative things she was already doing. Pons explained to Teen Vogue, “I began with my friends and quickly deteriorated. It was just being really creative at first – it wasn’t even funny stuff.” Pons has stated that her fan base “grew to the point where a lot of people relied on me to make them… just so they could get a laugh.” She was the first “Viner” to complete one billion loops.
