Mariannelli was born on 4 July 1992 in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. She is of Caribbean nationality as her parents Telesforo Tejeda and Rosina Burgos are both Dominicans. She grew up with her brothers Anthony and Albert Tejeda in their hometown and has now settled down in New York. When she was 10 years old, she moved to Kentucky to learn English and pursue an education and career.
Marianneli is a graduate of the Stella Adler Conservatory Program in New York. She completed acting training with a two-year program to kick-start his career. For his college, he attended Université Iberoamericana and North Kentucky University, where he studied Architecture and Fine Arts, respectively.

Marianelli began her career in 2013 just after graduating from the Stella Adler Conservatory Program and got her first role in the film Who’s the Boss? In the role of Patricia. She also played the role of Mujer 3 in the Once Upon a Fish show.She was cast for the role of Claudia in a short film called Cordonis Necios and a few years later, she was cast in the role of Estefanie in the TV show Bridecon.
The period of success in her career came in the year 2019 when she was cast in the famous American show Orange is the New Black in 2019 in the role of Elena. In the same year, she appeared in a guest appearance on the Hulu original show The Purgeas a guest aperance in Sofia Carmona.
Before acting, she was a successful model and pageant holder. In 2011, she won the Miss Dominican Republic crown after which she also represented as the Dominican representative at Miss Word 2011.
