Mary Wilson, the longest-reigning original Supreme, has died at 76 years old.Wilson died in Las Vegas , publicist Jay Schwartz told KABC-TV. When she died and other details weren’t immediately clear.Wilson’s longtime publicist, Jay Schwartz, reported that she died suddenly. 

Wilson, Diana Ross and Florence Ballard made up the primary successful configuration of The Supremes. She stayed with the group until it had been officially disbanded by Motown in 1977.The group’s first No. 1, million-selling song, “Where Did Our Love Go,” was released June 17, 1964.

She was also an author who wrote several books, including her memoir, "Dreamgirls: My Life as a Supreme." Wilson was also named a U.S. cultural ambassador by the State Department in 2003.

The circumstances of her death weren't immediately revealed. Funeral services are going to be private due to COVID.
