The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) report reveals that his death is the result of a hit-and-run collision that took place in Beverly Hills in the early hours of Saturday.The report details that the fatal collision occurred on Beverly Boulevard at around 2:20 a.m. local time. Mat was “not walking in a marked crosswalk” before being hit by a car.
The vehicle involved in the incident is a white BMW, that didn’t stop after the collision and continued eastbound. Mat was pronounced dead at the accident spot.
According to a report from the Los Angeles Police Department, about 2:20 a.m. PST, a white BMW traveling westbound on Beverly Boulevard struck George, 26, who was walking southbound on Croft Avenue.
After striking George, the BMW failed to stop, and authorities have yet to identify the driver. George was later pronounced dead on the spot by paramedics.
