Stalin was born on 1 March 1953 in Madras.Stalin studied at Madras Christian College Higher lyceum .He completed a pre-university course at Vivekananda College, and in 1973 received a history degree from the Presidency College, University of Chennai, Madras. MK Stalin was awarded an honorary doctorate by Anna University on 1 August 2009.
