The government will make sure that the covid-19 vaccine, whenever available, reaches each and each Indian as soon as possible, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday.Modi said during a televised address to the state that as people work on a war-footing the planet over to save lots of humanity from covid-19, India, too, is actively engaged in vaccine development. He said Indian scientists are within the process of developing several vaccines that are at different stages of clinical trials and therefore the results seem encouraging.
Modi cautioned the state that until there's a vaccine for covid-19, the guard against the disease shouldn’t be lowered. “From the Janata curfew till today, Indians have come an extended way in our fight against corona. Over time, economic activity also seems to be gradually increasing. Most folks are stepping out of our homes a day to fulfil our responsibilities," said Modi.
He cautioned that albeit the lockdown has been eased, the threat from the virus remains. “In the last 7-8 months, we've put in major efforts. things has improved, and that we shouldn't let things deteriorate," Modi said. He noted that the recovery rate within the country currently is sweet , and therefore the death rate low. In India, about 5,500 people per million population are infected by the coronavirus, whereas in countries just like the US and Brazil, this figure is on the brink of 25,000, he said.

The Prime Minister said that amid of these efforts, this is often not the time to be careless. “This isn't the time to assume that corona is gone, or that there's no danger from corona now.
