Sam Burns began his golf career as a member of Calvary Baptist Academy, where he went on to become a three-time individual state champion. In 2014, he was named the AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year. Burn also played college golf at Louisiana State University, where he won four events in his sophomore season and had 15 collegiate starts.
