Sean Waltman Professional Career
Waltman began his WWF career in 1993. He began as a jobber, wrestling under various names until he defeated Razor Ramon on Raw and became known as the 1-2-3 Kid. He won the WWF Tag Team Championship twice as the 1-2-3 Kid. In July 1994, he challenged Bret Hart for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship in what WWE deemed the third-best Raw match ever. During this time, he was a member of The Kliq, a backstage group known for influencing WWF storylines in the 1990s.
During the Monday Night Wars, Waltman left the WWF to join Kevin Nash and Scott Hall (formerly Razor Ramon) in WCW as Syxx. As part of the New World Order (nWo), he held the WCW World Tag Team Championship with them, and he was also the WCW Cruiserweight Champion once. He returned to the WWF during the Attitude Era, where he was renamed X-Pac and became a member of D-Generation X after being fired from WCW in 1998. (DX). He won the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, the WWF European Championship, and the WWF Tag Team Championship twice more with Kane.
Following the demise of WCW in 2001, X-Pac held both the WCW Cruiserweight and WWF Light Heavyweight Championships during The Invasion. After a brief reunion with the nWo, he left the company the following year. After that, he worked intermittently for a few promotions, including TNA (where he won the X Division once) and the independent circuit, until announcing his retirement in 2019. He returned to the ring in 2022.
Waltman has won a dozen titles in WWE, WCW, and TNA, the majority of which have been cruiserweight and tag team titles. He is the only wrestler to have won the TNA X Division Championship, WCW Cruiserweight Championship, and WWF Light Heavyweight Championship all at the same time.
Because he also held the Cruiserweight Championship, he was the last WWF Light Heavyweight Champion before the title was retired.
