Bruhn started his football career with the Newtown & Chilwell Football Club in Geelong’s western suburbs. Between 2013 and 2018, Bruhn appeared in 55 games for the club. He was a member of Geelong Grammar School’s Firsts team, where he won the best and fairest award as a 16-year-old in 2018.
He represented Victoria Country in the Under 16 Championships, where he was named MVP and All-Australian.After injuring his knee during the 2019 season, he was able to play a few games with the Geelong Falcons in the NAB League and Vic Country in the 2019 AFL Under 18 Championships.
Bruhn’s new career with the Giants sparked immediate controversy after he was shown to have a’solemn’ reaction to being drafted by them on draft night.
