A huge glacier burst over Pang village, about 25 km from Joshimath.  The Dhauli river got flooded. After this there was avalanche and  Rishi Ganga Power Project suffered major damage.Due to increasing water pressure, the lake breaks and these conditions become. you'll guess how the devastation must are because a glacier contains many cubic meters of water. it's going to take several days for all this water to return out. Water flows at a speed of 15 thousand cubic meters per second. This causes major loss of lives, property and infrastructure within the devastated area.

Some suspension bridges came under its grip. aside from this, some areas of the Dam of Tapovan hydroelectric project under construction of NTPC also fell in its grip. People living along the banks of Dhauli river are alerted. it's being asked to maneuver faraway from there.The team is leaving for Uttarakhand from 8th Battalion of NDRF of Ghaziabad. Dog Squad A team of 45 people with state-of-the-art equipment is leaving. High alert has also been issued in Bijnor district of UP. Ganga barrage opened. Announcement began on the river bank.

Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, I have spoken to Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, DG ITBP and DG NDRF regarding the information of natural disaster in Uttarakhand. All the concerned officers are working on a war footing to secure the people. NDRF teams have left for rescue operations. Every possible help will be provided to Devbhoomi.

Many laborers working on the Rishiganga hydroelectric project are feared to be missing. The official said that after the severe floods in Uttarakhand's Dhauli Ganga river, about 150 employees working in the power project are missing.

CM Rawat tweeted, the news of relief is that the flow of Alaknanda River beyond Nandprayag has become normal. The water level of the river is now 1 meter above normal but the flow is decreasing. The state chief secretary, disaster secretary, police officer and all my team are constantly monitoring the situation in the disaster control room.
