Nikita Jacob, a lawyer and activist from Mumbai, has been named in the Thunberg Farmers 'Protest for Toolkit' case for alleged involvement in the contents of the document. A day after Disha Ravi's arrest, the Delhi Police has pulled out a non-bailable warrant for him and another activist named Shantanu.

The corridors of the Bombay High Court were reported on Monday as a non-bailable warrant was issued against lawyer Nikita Jacob in relation to a "toolkit" shared by climate activist Greta Thunberg amid protests by ongoing farmers.

The 30-year-old lawyer, who has seven years of experience, claims to be in environmental activism through an NGO, but has never been associated with any political party.

Nikita, who graduated from ILS Law College, Pune, handled only civil matters. Speaking to India Today, senior advocate Girish Godbole, in whose chamber Nikita last worked, said that the development has come as a surprise. Godbole said, "Nikita worked as my junior for almost 3 years. She was good at her job. But, we never thought she would face a criminal case someday."

While the Delhi Police has claimed that Nikita had connections to a political party, AAP national spokesperson Preeti Sharma Menon refused to know the advocate. "In Mumbai, we have never heard of this name. There is no one in our party with this name, not even in our legal team," she said. AAP leader Raghav Chadha also denied Nikita being a member of the party.
