Byron signed with JR Motorsports’ late model program for 2014, in addition to continuing to compete in Legends. For JRM, Byron drove the No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Byron finished second in points to teammate Josh Berry at Hickory, with a single victory and 11 top-five finishes.

HScott Motorsports signed Byron to drive in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East with Justin Marks in 2015, with sponsorship from Liberty University.Byron also raced late models for JR Motorsports.Byron finished seventh in his K&N East debut in February at New Smyrna Speedway.After starting second and leading all 152 laps, Byron won the second race of the season at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.
